Our own laboratory
We run in-house tests under controlled conditions to verify quality immediately. We measure thickness, area weight, layer adhesion, static and permanent extension, and colour.
Tests are run under controlled conditions for the internal purposes of the company, with no accreditation of the measurement methods and no commercial use.

Teaching visual inspection to recognise defects
We are developing two devices for automated measurement of geometric accuracy and quality assessment of leather parts. They combine elements of artificial intelligence and photonics.
Genuine leather has natural variation that a machine cannot judge by a fixed rule. The model learns to tell a defect from a property of the material. The aim is to catch what the human eye cannot reliably catch across hundreds of parts a day.
