Production of textile materials begins in Zlín and Baťov, mainly for the footwear industry.

A closed production cycle under one roof
We manufacture interior components for the automotive industry and process textile materials and leather. Finishing and final assembly are done in one place, so the customer does not have to assemble a supply chain from three companies.
The remaining 10% of output goes to footwear, leather goods, sports equipment and healthcare. Every non-automotive project runs to the same tolerances, the same inspection procedures and the same quality management standards as automotive work.

A hundred years of textiles in Otrokovice
Textiles have been processed here since Otrokovice was still called Baťov. TOMATEX was created by privatisation in 1993 and took that tradition forward.
AFTER 1948
Production under the Svit brand
After nationalisation, textile production in Otrokovice continues as part of the state enterprise Svit.
Milestone 2 of 91993
Tomatex is founded
Privatisation creates Tomatex, s.r.o., which takes over textile production on the site.
Milestone 3 of 91994
Entry into the automotive industry
The production programme expands to include materials for automotive. That segment accounts for ninety per cent of output today.
Milestone 4 of 91999
Conversion to a joint-stock company
Entry in the Commercial Register at the Regional Court in Brno was made on 16 December 1999.

2021
Joining the CIDEM Holding group
The company becomes a member of the CIDEM Holding group and gains the backing of a stronger owner.

2023
QAD Adaptive ERP goes live
A new information system including EDI communication connects production, the warehouse and orders for sixty users.

New lamination line
In the second quarter we commission a completely new continuous lamination line with a linear gas burner.

Laboratory and AI visual inspection
The laboratory receives TIRA test equipment. In parallel we are developing automated visual inspection of leather parts using AI.

Part of the CIDEM Holding group
Membership of the CIDEM Holding group gives us a solid financial base. It lets us invest heavily in new technology and gives customers the long-term stability of a strategic supplier.
