Hand upholstery
Hand upholstery is the most valuable service we offer. It comes into its own on low-volume orders, above all on exclusive parts for the top trim levels of a vehicle.
The cover materials used here are most often genuine leather, or luxury fabrics such as Alcantara. Hand work allows what a machine cannot: adapting to the material piece by piece, including the natural variation of genuine leather.
Our aim is to limit the environmental impact of production, so we select the type of adhesive carefully to suit each particular product.

Press wrapping on the Frimo press
PRESS UPHOLSTERY AREA — PREPARING COVERS
- For high-volume production we use presses where wrapping takes place directly in the tool, combining heat and pressure
- The Frimo press folds the cover material around the visible edges of the interior part at the same time
- Folding in one step gives the highest possible process stability and repeatability
- Here too we use water-based dispersions of cross-linking polyurethane adhesives
